Role Overview:
Seeking a qualified Diesel Mechanic Red Seal for maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs of heavy-duty trucks in our Pretoria West workshop.
Key Responsibilities:
Routine servicing and preventative maintenance of trucks and trailers Mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repairs Engine overhauls, clutch, brake, and suspension repairs Use diagnostic tools and manuals Accurate completion of job cards and reports Vehicle roadworthiness inspections and adherence to safety standards Emergency roadside repairs as needed Maintain a clean, organised work areaRequirements:
Matric (Grade 12) and Red Seal Diesel Mechanic Qualification 35 years experience on heavy-duty trucks (Mercedes, MAN, Scania, Volvo, etc.) Strong diagnostics, repair, and servicing background Code 14 drivers licence and own tools advantageous Familiarity with modern diagnostics/software Workshop experienceCompetencies:
Technical/mechanical ability; problem-solving skills Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused team player Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
