Description:
Our client in the steel industry is looking for an experienced individual to be appointed as our factory manager in the Randburg area Minimum requirements:- Grade 12 or relevant NQF 4 qualification
- Management qualification will be a advantage
- 4 years plus experience as a factory manager or in managerial positions
- Factory floor/Production flow and staff management experience is non-negotiable
- Experience within the steel/metals industry will be beneficial
- Be willing to work overtime when necessary, but at least 1-2 Saturdays a month
Key Responsibilities:
- Production and Operations Management
- Quality Control and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety legislation and company policies
- People Management and Leadership
- Ensure accurate control of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
- Monitor production costs, labour efficiency, and material usage
- Review daily, weekly, and monthly production reports
- Support on-time-in-full (OTIF) delivery performance.
- Ensure factory operations align with customer expectations and service levels
- Drive process improvements across production, quality, and logistics.
- Lead and support system changes, new equipment, or process upgrades
