Senior Restaurant Manager
Stellenbosch, Western Cape
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Senior Restaurant Manager to lead our craft beer and gin restaurant, known for great vibes and quality food. This role requires a strong leader with excellent operational, financial, and people-management skills, and a passion for exceptional food and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Full restaurant operations management
- Menu costing and price structuring
- Stock control, ordering, and supplier management
- Staff rosters, scheduling, and shift management
- HR administration, staff discipline, and compliance
- Recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing staff training
- Development of new food and beverage menus in collaboration with the Director
- Ensuring outstanding customer service and client satisfaction
- Handling customer queries, complaints, compliments and operational issues professionally and efficiently
- Maintaining hygiene, health & safety, and operational standards
- Managing budgets, wastage, and cost controls
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior restaurant or hospitality management role
- Strong experience in management, menu costing and stock control
- Solid understanding of craft beer and gin is highly advantageous
- Proven leadership and people-management skills
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience with POS systems
- Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and hands-on
- Own transport preferred
