A well-established injection moulding company in Westmead, Pinetown is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician with strong mechanical and electrical skills to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Maintenance (Primary Focus):

Perform hands-on electrical maintenance on injection moulding machines, control panels, and plant equipment

Conduct fault-finding, repairs, and troubleshooting of electrical systems
-
Ensure all electrical installations and machinery comply with legal requirements
-
Maintain electrical safety systems, inspections, and statutory records
Mechanical Maintenance (Secondary Focus):
-
Assist with mechanical maintenance and repairs on plant machinery as required
-
Execute preventative maintenance schedules to minimise downtime
Legal & Compliance:
-
Act as the company’s GMR 2.1 Appointed Person
-
Ensure compliance with OHS Act, Machinery Regulations, and electrical standards
-
Maintain statutory registers, inspection records, and compliance documentation
Operational Support:
-
Support production teams to improve machine efficiency and reliability
-
Assist with risk assessments, safety audits, and toolbox talks
-
Provide hands-on technical guidance to maintenance staff and contractors
Personal Attributes:
