Key Duties & Responsibilities
Maintenance Planning & Scheduling: Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance schedules to minimize production downtime and ensure optimal plant availability.
Work Package Development: Prepare detailed maintenance work orders and job packs, including labour, tools, materials, spares, permits, and safety requirements.
CMMS Management: Maintain and update the CMMS (e.g. SAP PM, Pronto, Maximo, Pragma), including asset registers, job history, maintenance plans, and backlog control.
Spare Parts Coordination: Liaise with stores and procurement to identify critical spares, ensure availability for planned work, and prevent maintenance delays.
Shutdown & Major Maintenance Planning: Plan and coordinate plant shutdowns and major maintenance activities to achieve maximum work completion within allocated downtime.
Contractor Coordination: Coordinate contractor scopes of work and schedules, and verify completed work against approved work orders and quality standards.
Reliability & Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures to reduce repeat breakdowns and improve MTBF and equipment reliability.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure all planned maintenance activities comply with health, safety, environmental, and site-specific standards.
Reporting & KPI Tracking: Compile and report on maintenance KPIs, including plant availability, backlog, schedule compliance, and maintenance costs.
