Key Responsibilities
Production Leadership: Lead daily operation of the Dense Medium Separation (DMS) and recovery circuits to consistently achieve high-throughput and recovery targets.
Technical Troubleshooting: Monitor and interpret plant parameters, proactively adjusting processes to optimise diamond recovery and minimise unplanned downtime.
Skills Transfer & Succession: Coach, mentor, and deliver hands-on training to local Angolan operators and attendants, with a strong focus on sustainable skills transfer and future succession.
Regulatory & Security Compliance: Enforce strict health, safety, and security standards, including routine integrity and polygraph testing, in line with Angolan diamond industry regulations.
Maintenance Coordination: Liaise closely with the General Engineering Supervisor (GES) to plan corrective and preventative maintenance, ensuring high plant availability and reliability.
Mandatory Requirements
Experience: Minimum 5 to 7 years in diamond processing operations (DMS and recovery), with at least 3 years in a senior operator or supervisory role.
Qualifications: A recognised Trade Certificate (Fitter, Electrician, or Millwright) is essential for expat appointments.
