Reporting to the Chief of Nursing Services, this role provides specialised support to the Nursing Services Department with a strong focus on education coordination, staff development, and clinical competency management. The position supports orientation programmes, ongoing training initiatives, and the documentation and monitoring of nursing competencies across various clinical areas, while acting as a clinical and educational resource within the hospital.Key Responsibilities

Minimum 5 years post-graduation clinical experience as a Registered Nurse, including at least 2 years continuous experience in clinical instruction

Participate in the General Nursing Orientation Programme as delegated

Provide theoretical and clinical guidance to designated units and individual nursing staff

Identify individual and collective educational needs of nursing staff
-
Follow up on new staff and implement individualised educational and clinical support strategies

Develop and implement clinical strategies for staff referred by Nursing Administration
-
Assist in the development and maintenance of a monthly educational calendar
-
Serve on nursing departmental and interdepartmental committees
-
Ensure nursing competency skills and knowledge remain current across defined practice areas

Maintain and update staff educational and clinical competency profiles

Compile and submit monthly educational and clinical activity reports to the Director of Nursing

Act as a clinical resource in the development and review of patient care standards, policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives
