Description:
A well-established organisation based in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to join their finance team. This role is ideal for a commercially minded finance professional with strong costing exposure, particularly within ABC costing and Bill of Materials (BOM) environments.The successful candidate will play a key role in analysing cost structures, supporting operational decision-making, and driving cost efficiency across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed cost analysis using Activity-Based Costing (ABC) methodologies
- Maintain and analyse Bills of Materials (BOM) and standard costing structures
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements
- Collaborate closely with operations and production teams
Skills and Experience:
- Qualification: BCom
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years costing experience
- Proven exposure to ABC costing and BOM environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
