Key ResponsibilitiesERP & Data Management
System Integrity: Create, maintain, and update stock codes and pricing structures within the ERP system. Inventory Documentation: Maintain an organised digital library of inventory pictures and specifications to assist sales and warehouse teams. Valuation: Conduct regular inventory valuations to ensure financial records align with physical holdings.
Stock Control & Accuracy
Audit Management: Prepare, coordinate, and lead full-scale stock takes and regular cycle counts. Data Entry: Accurately input stock count figures into the ERP system and investigate any discrepancies between system and physical counts. Warehouse Support: Provide warehouse staff with accurate count sheets and ensure all inventory is clearly and correctly labeled.
Optimisation & Forecasting
Stock Levels: Establish and maintain Minimum and Maximum (Min/Max) stock levels to prevent stockouts while minimising excess capital tie-up. Forecasting: Analyse historical data and sales trends to provide accurate inventory forecasting for procurement. Obsolescence Management: Identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and prioritize sales strategies to clear these items.
Quality & Rotation
Stock Integrity: Monitor and enforce First-In, First-Out (FIFO) protocols and stock rotation practices. Shelf Life: Actively monitor expiry dates to prevent waste and ensure product quality.
Skills and Qualifications
Experience: Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related supply chain role. Technical Proficiency: Strong experience with ERP software, preferably K8 Kerridge (Klipboard), alternatively SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Syspro) and advanced Excel skills. Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret data trends and translate them into actionable inventory strategies. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data entry and physical auditing. Communication: Ability to work cross-functionally with warehouse, procurement, and finance departments. Matric
