This role suits a hands-on Accountant who enjoys ownership, structure and accountability within a dynamic environment.Operating within the construction and engineering sector, this business delivers complex projects requiring strong financial governance and operational finance support. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in overseeing the full finance function, ensuring accuracy, control and compliance across projects.
This is not a passive reporting role youll be involved in day-to-day finance operations, supporting management with reliable financial insight and maintaining strong control over AR, AP and project finances.

Job Experience and Skills Required:
Education: BCom Accounting / Finance (minimum requirement) Experience: 35+ years experience in a Senior Accountant or Accountant role Construction, engineering or project-based industry experience (non-negotiable) Proven exposure to the full finance function Systems: BuildSmart system experience (highly advantageous) Strong Excel skills Other Requirements: Based in or willing to commute to Irene Male candidates welcome Strong leadership ability to manage and guide clerks Deadline-driven, structured and detail-oriented
