Office Base: Regional Office (Western Cape)
Travel: Required between portfolio assets
The Facilities Manager is responsible for the operational integrity, compliance, and long-term preservation of physical assets within the property portfolio.
While the Property Manager focuses on income, leasing, and tenant relationships, the Facilities Manager ensures that buildings are safe, compliant, cost-efficient, and fully functional, mitigating operational risk and protecting asset value.
The role oversees both hard services (technical infrastructure) and soft services (cleaning, security, landscaping), ensuring alignment with company policies, the National Facilities Management Strategy, and all relevant legislation and industry standards.
Requirements:
Education & Qualifications

Grade 12 (minimum)
-
National Diploma / N6 in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or Drafting (highly preferred)

SAFMA Certified Facilities Manager or SAPOA Facilities Management Certificate (advantageous)
-
SAMTRAC (Safety Officer level) certification (advantageous)
-
Project Management qualification (advantageous)
Experience
-
3–5 years’ experience in a technical Facilities Management role

Proven exposure to:

Retail properties
-
Industrial / Triple Net Lease environments
-
Multi-tenanted office parks
-
Student accommodation
-
Skills & Technical Competencies
-
Strong working knowledge of building systems, fire compliance, PV plants, and soft services

Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and MDA
-
Proven ability to manage contractors and enforce SLAs effectively
