    The Role: Senior Cloud Architect (Azure)
    The Senior Cloud Architect will be responsible for defining, governing, and guiding Azure-based cloud architectures across the organisation. This senior contract role focuses on architectural leadership, hands-on technical design, and close collaboration with engineering, security, and business stakeholders to ensure scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions.

    Key Responsibilities

    • 10+ years of overall IT experience with at least 5+ years in Azure cloud architecture roles

    • Design and define scalable, secure, and resilient Azure cloud architectures

    • Provide architectural leadership across cloud migration, optimisation, and modernisation initiatives

    • Collaborate with engineering, security, and data teams to ensure best-practice cloud solutions

    • Translate business and operational requirements into robust Azure architecture designs

    • Govern and review cloud implementations to ensure alignment with architectural standards and frameworks

    • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

      About You

      • 10+ years of IT experience with strong depth in enterprise infrastructure and cloud platforms

      • 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and governing Azure cloud architectures

      • Strong expertise in Azure services, security, networking, identity, and governance

      • Proven experience in cloud migration and modernisation programmes

      • Ability to operate confidently at senior stakeholder and executive level

      • Strong documentation, communication, and architectural governance skills
