Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesCapture accounting transactions accurately into the accounting system Capture and process creditors invoices Prepare and maintain reconciliations of accounts in the general ledger Reconcile purchase orders, goods received, and supplier invoices Verify the validity of tax invoices and credit notes and ensure proper approval Assign budgetary expenditure to correct GL accounts and cost centres Maintain an organized filing system for accounting records, contracts, and invoices Follow up on and reconcile monthly vendor statements Prepare reconciliations between creditors statements and the creditors ledger Investigate, communicate, and resolve supplier invoice discrepancies and reconciling items Prepare vendor payment runs and ensure suppliers are paid within agreed terms Distribute remittance advices to suppliers after payment runs Allocate vendor payments and maintain cleared vendor accounts Create and validate new vendor accounts Maintain vendor master data on SAP, including banking details and payment terms Act as the first point of contact for vendor payment and account queries Ensure compliance with all financial policies, procedures, and internal controls Keep the Finance Manager informed of potential accounting or financial issues Prepare and submit monthly creditors age analysis Provide periodic reports, reconciliations, and supporting schedules as required Assist with documentation and samples required for internal and external audits Qualifications and Experience Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Minimum 5 years experience in a senior creditors or credit control role Experience within the security industry or a similar service-based environment will be advantageous Strong working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems Solid understanding of accounting principles and creditors management High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and time-management abilities Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Bottom of Form
