Description:

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for ensuring that all plant, machinery, and equipment within the Assembly Plant are maintained safely, efficiently, and in accordance with operational requirements.

This role focuses on optimizing maintenance processes, improving equipment reliability, and minimizing downtime to support production performance.

Key Responsibilities

Initiate and implement continuous improvement initiatives across plant systems, machinery, and equipment to enhance productivity and achieve cost savings. Provide technical support to maintenance supervisors and managers by applying multi-disciplinary knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and structural maintenance methods. Develop, administer, and sustain Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) systems for Assembly using Maximo and Shop Floor Management tools. Analyze major plant stoppages and breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Control and monitor maintenance schedules and systems to ensure timely corrective and preventive action. Maintain up-to-date facility manuals, technical data, calibrations, and other certifications in both electronic and physical archives. Manage the cleaning contractor and related processes within Assembly Operations to ensure effective service delivery. Develop, plan, and update maintenance processes and procedures that support the overall preventive maintenance strategy.

Qualification Requirements

Degree or National Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.

Experience Requirements

35 years experience as a Maintenance Planner in an automotive manufacturing environment. Proven experience in preventive and predictive maintenance planning and execution.

Essential Skills and Competencies

Solid understanding of FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and its practical application in maintenance. Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities. In-depth knowledge of Health and Safety regulations. Hands-on experience with production facilities and systems, including filling equipment, conveyor systems, lifts, and hoists. Demonstrated ability to coordinate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to plan work orders and reduce downtime. Strong foundation in project management principles, with exp
