SCAFFOLD FIXER

Description:

JOB PURPOSETo erect, alter, and dismantle scaffolding and temporary works safely and efficiently under the direction of a Scaffold Charge Hand or Scaffold Supervisor.

MINIMUM TRAINING & QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSThe candidate must be in possession of the following valid training and certifications:

1. Working at Heights
2. Scaffold Erector
3. Confined Space Entry
4. Grade 12 (Matric)
5. Valid Medical Fitness Certificate, including Working at Heights

   EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

   • Minimum 2-3 years' scaffolding experience
   • Experience in construction, shutdown, or industrial scaffolding environments

     DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

     • Perform scaffolding activities only under supervision and in accordance with approved risk assessments and procedures.
     • Comply with all safety instructions, control measures, and site-specific requirements.
     • Stop work immediately and report to the Charge Hand or Supervisor if unsafe conditions are identified.
     • Erect, alter, and dismantle access scaffolding and temporary works in accordance with approved methods and instructions.
     • Correctly handle, inspect, and use scaffolding materials, tools, and equipment.
     • Maintain good housekeeping within the work area.
     • Follow instructions issued by the Scaffold Charge Hand and Scaffold Supervisor at all times.
     • Ensure that scaffolding components are installed correctly and that structures are stable and secure.
     • Do not impose any loads on scaffolds beyond their design capacity.
