Optimi is currently seeking a well-organised individual with a people-oriented approach to join our team as an Education Specialist for Geography Grades 10-12. The ideal candidate should have a positive outlook, be adaptable to change and excel as a team player with exceptional communication skills. It is essential that the candidate have an in-depth understanding of all CAPS requirements and can critically evaluate content within the subject field.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor of Education or bachelor's degree with PGCE in a relevant field
- 5 years of experience as an educator
- Computer literacy
- Proficiency in Afrikaans and English language
- SACE registered.
DUTIES
- Apply and monitor the application of CAPS and the assessment requirements by the examination board.
- Ensure quality assurance of external developers and moderators.
- Moderate or set assessment tasks in specific areas of expertise and/or related fields.
- Plan, support and/or present academic-related webinars/ memorandum discussions.
- Develop or facilitate the design of the assessment instructions and guidelines according to the unique needs of the education clients.
- Academic support and collaboration with Impaq Online School educators.
- Provide academic feedback to suit the unique needs of learners.
- Develop academic support materials.
The position is based in Centurion, Pretoria.
