Credit Analyst (EE) Asset Finance
Location: Bryanston, Gauteng
Remuneration: Negotiable up to R450 000 per annum (inclusive of Provident Fund)

The Opportunity
A leading financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Credit Analyst to strengthen its asset finance credit capability across the SME and Public Sector portfolios. This role offers exposure to complex credit transactions, stakeholder engagement at senior level, and the opportunity to influence credit policy and risk outcomes within a dynamic, high-performance environment.
Key Accountabilities
Credit Risk Assessment & Decision-Making
Evaluate and assess asset finance credit applications in line with Group Credit Policy Analyse financial and non-financial information to determine creditworthiness and risk exposure Approve transactions within delegated mandate and escalate exceptions to the Credit Manager Provide clear, defensible credit recommendations to internal stakeholdersPortfolio & Credit Management
Maintain oversight of the full pipeline of credit applications, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting Ensure disciplined credit processes, governance, and turnaround times Contribute to the ongoing development, refinement, and implementation of credit policies and proceduresStakeholder Engagement
Act as a trusted credit partner to Sales, Business Managers, and Funders Provide timely feedback and guidance on credit submissions and deal structuring Build and maintain strong working relationships across internal and external stakeholdersBusiness & Strategic Support
Participate in ad-hoc credit and business-related projects Support Credit Team coordination, including meetings and action tracking where required Apply commercial insight to support sustainable growth while protecting credit qualityExperience & Qualifications
Relevant Degree or Qualification in Credit Risk Management Accounting Diploma or Certificate (advantageous) Minimum 5 years experience in credit analysis, preferably within asset finance, SME, or public sector lendingCore Competencies
Strong understanding of credit lending principles and risk frameworks Solid financial statement analysis and business evaluation skills High-level analytical thinking and sound commercial judgment Strong communication and stakeholder management capability Ability to perform under pressure in a deadline-driven environment A
