Description:
RPO Recruitment’s client, a well-established, multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm based in Pretoria is seeking a Full-Time Resident Engineer for a new Water Works construction project near Thohoyandou, Limpopo Province. This is a four-year, site-based appointment aligned with the construction duration of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- On-site construction monitoring and quality assurance
- Ensuring compliance with contract documentation, specifications, and GCC 2015
- Oversight of labour-intensive methods and participation targets
- Monitoring health, safety, and environmental compliance
- Reporting progress to the Engineer and project stakeholders
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience within the construction industry
- BTech or Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in construction monitoring of civil and reinforced concrete works
- Sound knowledge and practical application of GCC 2015
- Experience with Labour-Intensive Construction and Contract Participation Goals (CPGs)
- Good working knowledge of Construction Regulations and OHS requirements
