Are you a seasoned client-side Construction Manager who thrives on controlling outcomes rather than executing works? This is an opportunity to represent the client’s interests on major construction projects , providing leadership, governance, and oversight throughout the construction phase.
The Role
Reporting to the Development Manager, you will act as the client’s on-site representative, managing and monitoring the main contractor and subcontractors to ensure delivery on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards . You will drive performance, manage risk, and coordinate interfaces - without taking on contractor execution responsibilities.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Client-side oversight of contractors, programme, cost, quality, and HSE compliance
- Monitoring progress, managing risks, and resolving construction-phase issues
- Supporting contract administration (JBCC / FIDIC / NEC) and change control
- Coordinating stakeholders, consultants, and authorities
- Overseeing testing, commissioning, and handover through to final completion
What Our Client Is Looking For
- 7–10 years’ experience in construction management (client-side / employer’s agent preferred)
- Proven ability to manage main contractors on medium to large-scale projects
- Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar
- Professional registration (PrCM, PMP, etc.) advantageous
- Strong leadership, commercial acumen, and client-facing communication skills
