DescriptionSSK currently has the following career opportunity at its Retail Fuel Depot in Riversdale. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of bulk fuel in compliance with South African legislation governing the transport of dangerous goods.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport bulk fuel to designated sites in accordance with company and legal requirements
- Supervise and oversee the loading and offloading of fuel to ensure safety, accuracy, and compliance
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report defects promptly
- Maintain accurate daily vehicle logs, trip sheets, and fuel reconciliation documentation
- Ensure vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness at all times
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, environmental, and operational policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, depot staff, and customers
- Perform duties responsibly while representing the company in a professional manner
- Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate, demonstrating sound literacy and numeracy skills
- A minimum of 3 years’ operational experience driving bulk fuel or dangerous goods vehicles
- A valid Code 14 (EC) Driver’s License with a valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
- A valid Dangerous Goods Certificate (as required by our South African law)
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Afrikaans
- Willingness and flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and public holidays
