A private Medical Oncology practice in Parktown is seeking an experienced Authorisations Clerk to manage medical aid pre-authorisations and related clinical administration. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent follow-up skills, and the ability to work closely with doctors, medical aids, pharmacies, and patients.
Key Responsibilities

Process and submit medical aid authorisations and extensions

Compile treatment plans, scripts, test results, and clinical motivations

Follow up on authorisations and communicate outcomes to doctors and patients

Liaise with medical aids, pharmacies, suppliers, and patients

Maintain accurate electronic and hardcopy patient records

Handle appeals, reporting, and audit-ready documentation
