Description:
ROLE PURPOSE Cleaning managers are responsible for managing a cleaning team assigned to buildings, hospitals, sites, and other facilities.MAIN OUTPUTS
- Overall management of all cleaning functions in the venue to ensure a clean, safe, and orderly experience for guests, customers, and workers
- Ensuring the facility is cleaned correctly and according to the client’s instructions or standards.
- Managing and motivating a team of cleaning staff
- Deploy and train staff on the use of latest cleaning technology while providing instructions and supervision where necessary
- Certify that equipment is safe to use and in good working condition
- Conduct stock management of consumables and spares
- Oversee all escalations and performance management developments
- Keep close interaction, communication, and coordination with the Front Office and other departments
- Drive to every location with the team along with supplies in official vehicle
- Make sure all employees follow company standards by constantly coaching and redirecting performance.
- Visit allocated sites on a daily/weekly/monthly basis to ensure that delegated work was executed correctly, within the relevant time limit, and up to the required standard.
- Prepare monthly reports of sites for the client, management and payroll staff, such as weekly leave and replacement report, customer satisfaction report, weekly plan and logbook, SHEQ reports, site equipment report, etc.
- Ensure that all staff members as well as themselves are updated with the policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and the terms & conditions of their employment contracts.
- Conduct regular cleaning audits and ensure that any issues highlighted are addressed appropriately
- Responsible for training, coaching, mentoring & development of cleaning staff
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS The Applicant must meet the following requirements:
- National Diploma or Related
- Matric (Senior Certificate)
- Valid SA Driver’s License
- Relevant in cleaning supervising
- Cleaning and Hygiene Management
- MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Project & MS Outlook (Intermediate skill level)
- OHS Act, ISO 9001 Quality Management & Risk Management Systems
