Description:
This is a hands-on Financial Accountant role for someone who knows how to operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, ideally manufacturing, FMCG, or food-related industries.
This role sits close to the numbers, the process, and month-end. You won't be sheltered from the detail, you'll be trusted with it.
What you'll be responsible for:
Managing and reviewing the cashbook function and resolving related queries Processing and reconciling a wide range of financial transactions Preparing and posting journals for management accounts Preparing and reviewing monthly income statement and balance sheet reconciliations Maintaining and reconciling the fixed asset register and wear-and-tear schedules Managing finance lease agreements Managing insurance-related matters, including declarations and claims Supporting month-end close and rollover procedures Assisting with reporting and information requests for Head Office Assisting with cash flow preparation and analysis Supporting internal, interim, and year-end audit processes Handling ad-hoc accounting and finance-related tasks as requiredWhat we're looking for:
BCom Accounting degree Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar Financial Accountant role Strong Excel skills Experience in a pressurised, deadline-driven environment High attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability Ability to plan, organise, and manage competing priorities Strong problem-solving ability and initiative A collaborative, team-oriented approach Clear, professional communication skillsWhy this role works:
