Description:
Forming part of a team providing accounting, tax and general advisory services to a client portfolio. This entails assisting a manager in the fields of accounting and regulatory requirements with a specific focus on relationships with clients to guarantee and surpass their expectations of service delivery
Key Responsibilities
ACCOUTING
Process transactions from source documents onto Xero Software
Perform general ledger reconciliations and produce a trial balance
Prepare and maintain fixed asset registers
Perform tax and deferred tax computations
Other ad-hoc accounting relating tasks
VAT SUBMISSIONS
Populates VAT returns and reconciliations and submits to Manager for review
File returns and notify clients to make payments
Follow-up with client to ensure payments were made
FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
Compiles annual financial statements based on appropriate accounting standards
GENERAL ADMINISTRATION
Monitors work-in-progress of clients
Attends to queries from SARS and clients
Requirements:
- Data Analyst: 1 to 2 years
- Mathematical Comprehension: 2 to 3 years
- Dext/Hubdoc: 1 to 2 years
Completed Matric (with accounting and mathematics as a subject) with university exemptions
Enrolled in a BCom degree and/or equivalent accounting degree with the intention of completing SAIPA articles or
BCom degree and/or equivalent accounting degree, ready to commence with SAIPA Articles

Afrikaans is essential (The client base consists mainly of farmers in the Northern Cape.
