Are you an experienced Financial Manager with a strong background in the property sector and a hands-on approach to accounting operations?
A leading organization in the Property Practitioners industry is seeking a dedicated Financial Manager to oversee the general accounting function. This role is vital for ensuring the accurate compilation and analysis of accounting data while acting as a key liaison between the company, clients, and auditors. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining internal systems, managing a finance team, and ensuring full regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations & Management

Oversee, implement, and maintain accounting systems, procedures, and policies.

Manage and support the accounting team, providing space for growth and performance

Assign and audit the work of accounting staff to maintain high standards of accuracy.

Perform monthly closing, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance.
Reporting & Analysis
-
Review, analyze, and reconcile general ledger accounts in conjunction with management reports.
-
Review and send out monthly reporting and annual financial statements.

Compile budgets, attend budget meetings, and forecast future financial performance.
Compliance & Liaison
-
Serve as the primary company liaison with auditors to finalize financial statements
-
Review and ensure the accurate submission of VAT and EMP returns.

Manage debit orders, monthly invoices, and client statements.
-
Address complex client queries and attend both internal and external meetings.
Minimum Requirements
Experience & Technical Skills:

Proven experience in a Financial Manager role, preferably within the property industry.

Strong proficiency in Xero and RAMS systems.
-
In-depth knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to the Property Practitioners industry.

Expertise in developing internal systems and controls.
