Key Responsibilities:
1. Patient Care & Clinical Duties
Provide holistic and patient-centered care based on assessment and prescribed treatment plans. Administer medication and treatments accurately and timeously. Monitor and document patient vital signs, progress, and responses to treatment.2. Clinical Specialization
Apply advanced clinical skills in areas such as:Intensive Care (ICU) High Care Operating Theatre (Scrub, Circulating, Recovery) Emergency/Casualty Maternity/Labour Ward
3. Compliance & Documentation
Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in line with facility and legal standards. Adhere to hospital protocols, SANC guidelines, and infection control standards.4. Team Collaboration
Work closely with doctors, allied health professionals, and fellow nurses. Participate in ward rounds, handovers, and team briefings.5. Training & Mentoring
Guide and mentor junior nursing staff or student nurses. Participate in in-service training and continuous professional development.Minimum Requirements:
Registered Professional Nurse (PN) with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) Post-basic / additional clinical qualification in at least one specialized unit:ICU / High Care / Theatre / Emergency / Maternity 23 years post-qualification clinical experience in a relevant specialized unit BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) is advantageous Proven ability to work under pressure in high-acuity settings
