The Assistant Construction Manager or Sub Agent supports the Construction Manager / Site Agent by managing certain sections of the work in terms of quality, logistics and supervision with minimal assistance from the Construction Manager / Site Agent.Qualification, Experience and Requirements

Relevant Degree in Civil Engineering
Minimum of 5 years on-site experience in road rehabilitation and construction on National or Provincial Roads Valid, unendorsed drivers licence with own vehicle Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities-
Knowledge of contract documents and general conditions of contracts (e.g. COLTO, GCC, COTO, and FIDIC) Proficient in CCS and MS Projects Knowledge of Labour Laws and relevant Civil Engineering industry regulations Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety regulations Capable of taking initiative while collaborating effectively within a team Strong analytical mindset Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Positive attitude with a focus on resolving issues and proactive management approach Roles and Responsibilities
Programming and Planning Managing and supervising the construction team, suppliers and subcontractors Quality assurance and technical problem-solving Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards Site Administration and procurement of materials and equipment Costing and reporting Staff development and management Communication with clients and engineers
