Description:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Artisan Diesel Mechanic with a strong background in diesel engines and hands-on experience with petrol engines. The ideal candidate will have experience servicing and repairing compressors, generators, and small plant equipment. The role also involves on-site and workshop repairs, as well as delivery and collection of hire equipment to and from client sites.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel and petrol engines
· Service and repair compressors, small plant machinery, and generators
· Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
· Maintain accurate service records and job cards
· Adhere to all safety and quality standards
· Respond to breakdowns on-site, in the workshop, and during field service operations
· Assist with delivery and collection of compressors and hire equipment to/from clients
Requirements:
· Qualified Artisan Diesel Mechanic (Trade Test Certificate)
· Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
· Hands-on experience with petrol engines
· Solid knowledge of compressors and small plant equipment
· Valid driver’s license (Code 08 or higher preferred)
· Ability to work independently and perform under pressure
· Strong communication and problem-solving skills
