About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Regional Cash Processing Centre Manager to lead our cash operations across the Northern region. This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the overall operational efficiency, financial performance, and regulatory compliance of all cash-related operations, including Cash Centres, ATM services, and branch cash handling.
The successful candidate will drive reliable, secure, and cost-effective cash solutions, achieving regional financial targets and maintaining world-class service delivery.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Strategic & Financial Oversight: Manage the regional budget and P&L for cash operations, including capital expenditure on equipment. Define and track KPIs (e.g., cost-per-note processed) and lead cost optimisation initiatives.
Operational Excellence: Establish and enforce standardised operating procedures (SOPs) across all sites. Oversee infrastructure and physical security, and serve as the regional escalation point for major operational and security incidents.
Compliance, Risk & Security: Ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Company policies, and industry standards (e.g., SARB, ROCC). Implement robust internal controls and manage internal/external audits.
People Leadership: Manage, coach, and mentor Cash Managers, Supervisors, and operational staff. Oversee regional talent management, recruitment, retention, and ensure all personnel are fully trained and certified.
Client Management: Focus on client retention by preventing contract loss due to poor service delivery. Conduct formal customer meetings and ensure all Customer SLAs are met monthly.
Health and Safety: Actively participate in the design, review, and implementation of departmental safety plans, reporting and discussing all safety incidents.
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12
Minimum 5 years experience in a cash management environment
Drivers License and own reliable transportation
Security Management qualification or equivalent qualifiation
Knowledge of IZI SA Operational and HR Policy and Procedures is advantageous
