Logistics Coordinator

Description:

We require a junior Logistics Coordinator for a freight forwarding company in the Somerset West area. Minimum Requirements:

1. Grade 12
2. Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Shipping, International Trade etc.
3. Previous experience in freight forwarding / agriculture
4. Computer literate

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage the operational procedures involved with the forecasting, co-ordination, scheduling, transport & shipment of perishables to Europe, Mediterranean, Russia & Baltic for container and conventional.
• Manage deviations and implement corrective action.
• Â Manage internal & external communication / information requirements.
• Responsible for the shipment of over 2000 containers
• Communicate with suppliers and clients on deviations
• Manage internal functions
• Coordinate workflow
• Manage supplier relationships
• Manage bookings, loadouts and instructions
• Manage inspections and vessel tracking
• Process invoices
