SENIOR CLERK: TIME AND ATTENDANCE X3 (GRADING B5)

All applications must include police-certified copies of the applicant's ID and certificates

Qualifying Criteria:

  • Grade 10, 11 or Matric certificate or equivalent with mathematics/mathematical literacy
  • Computer literacy with emphasis on Excel
  • Certificate or diploma in HR, Payroll, Administration, or related field (advantageous)
  • Experience in a Time & Attendance or Payroll environment (advantageous)
  • Mining industry experience will be a strong advantage
  • Computer literacy: MS Excel, Word, and payroll/time systems
  • Knowledge of BCEA, labor relations, and payroll principles
  • South African Citizenship
  • Clear Criminal Record

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain daily time and attendance records for employees and contractors
  • Reconcile clocking data with approved attendance registers
  • Investigate and resolve attendance discrepancies and anomalies
  • Liaise with Supervisors, HR, Payroll, and Line Management regarding attendance queries
  • Ensure compliance with labour legislation, company procedures, and mining standards
  • Maintain accurate filing and audit-ready records
  • Support internal and external audits relating to payroll and attendance
  • Conduct all work according to required standards and specifications
  • Manage and maintain area of responsibility in accordance with mine standard procedures, policies and practices
  • Adhere to MHSA standards & Gold1’s safety motto: “Nothing is so important that it cannot be done safely”
