Junior Project Engineer
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Engineer to join our engineering team. This role will support the International Project Engineer in drafting proposals, assisting with project execution, and handling application engineering queries for our Australian branch. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work effectively within a project-based environment. The ability and willingness to work across multiple time zones is also required.
Key Responsibilities
Proposal Support
- Assist in preparing technical and commercial proposals for Australian projects.
- Compile and verify technical documentation, datasheets, and drawings for bid submissions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather accurate costing, lead times, and specifications.
Project Execution Support
- Support the International Project Engineer with planning, scheduling, and monitoring project milestones.
- Prepare progress reports and maintain project records to ensure compliance with internal standards and client requirements.
Application Engineering Assistance
- Provide technical support to the Australian branch for application engineering queries.
- Assist with the selection and sizing of pumps.
Administrative and Coordination Tasks
- Assist in creating and updating project templates, checklists, and workflows.
- Support the development and continuous improvement of processes and tools used by the engineering team.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: B.Eng or B.Tech in Mechanical, Chemical, or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a project-based environment, preferably within engineering, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with project management tools is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of process, mechanical, or systems engineering principles.
