We are a leading sports apparel, footwear, and equipment company operating in both the retail and wholesale sectors. Our products are distributed through physical stores, wholesale partners, and multiple e-commerce platforms. As our online presence continues to grow, we are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented E-Commerce professional to manage and optimise all e-commerce operations across our platforms.

Role Overview

The E-Commerce Operations Coordinator / Manager will be fully responsible for managing all day-to-day e-commerce activities across multiple online sales channels. This role requires close coordination with internal departments, third-party distribution centres, and external e-commerce partners to ensure accurate product listings, efficient order fulfilment, and a high standard of customer service.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

E-Commerce Operations & Order Fulfilment

  • Manage and fulfil all orders received across various e-commerce platforms in a timely and accurate manner
  • Coordinate with internal warehouses and third-party distribution centres to ensure smooth order processing and dispatch
  • Monitor order statuses, resolve fulfilment issues, and manage returns or customer queries related to orders

Product & Platform Management

  • Ensure all product listings are accurate and up to date, including:
    • Pricing
    • Stock availability
    • Product descriptions
    • Product images
    • Technical specifications and sizing information
  • Load and publish new products across applicable e-commerce platforms in line with brand standards
  • Ensure platform compliance with partner and marketplace requirements

Stock & Distribution Coordination

  • Monitor stock levels across internal and third-party distribution centres
  • Liaise with supply chain and warehouse teams to ensure sufficient stock availability for e-commerce demand
  • Proactively identify and address potential stock shortages or overselling risks

Customer & Partner Liaison

  • Act as the primary point of contact for e-commerce customers regarding order-related queries
  • Liaise with e-commerce platform partners, marketplaces, and logistics providers to ensure operational efficiency
  • Resolve customer or partner issues professionally and within agreed service level standards

Reporting & Performance Monitoring

  • Monitor e-commerce performance metrics such as order volumes, fulfilment timelines, and stock accuracy
  • Prepare basic reports and insights for management as required
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and customer experience

  • Shopify Store Management: 1 year or less
  • Wordpress Store Management: 1 year or less
  • Takealot Seller Portal Management: 1 year or less
  • Microsoft Office Intermediate Level: 3 to 4 years
  • Microsoft Excel Intermediate Level: 3 to 4 years
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in E-Commerce, Digital Marketing, Business, Supply Chain, Retail Management, or a related field (advantageous but not mandatory)
  • Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in an e-commerce, online retail, or digital operations role
  • Proven experience managing products and orders across multiple e-commerce platforms or marketplaces
  • Experience in retail, sports apparel, footwear, or FMCG industries will be highly advantageous
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and platforms simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Comfortable working with product data, pricing, and stock management systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace (especially Excel)
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms, ERP systems, and third-party logistics integrations is advantageous
  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • Able to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Solution-driven with the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability

  • Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in an e-commerce, online retail, or digital operations role
  • Proven experience managing products and orders across multiple e-commerce platforms or marketplaces
  • Experience in retail, sports apparel, footwear, or FMCG industries will be highly advantageous
