ð Linux / Platform / Operations Engineer (Mid–Senior)We are recruiting experienced Linux & Platform Engineers to support, automate, and modernise critical IT platforms in a high-availability, Agile/DevOps environment. These roles suit professionals with strong Linux, automation, operations, and infrastructure experience who thrive in complex enterprise environments.

ð§ Core Skills & Technologies

  • Operating Systems: Linux (SUSE/SLES preferred) & Windows (client/server)
  • Automation & IaC: Ansible (AAP/Tower/AWX), Terraform, scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell, Perl)
  • Containers & Platforms: Kubernetes, Docker, Dynatrace
  • Monitoring & Tooling: Grafana, Nagios, backup & monitoring solutions
  • Version Control & CI/CD: GitHub, GitHub Actions
  • Directory & Access: LDAP (e.g. 389DS), PBIS, authentication & access management
  • Networking & Storage: DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, NFS, CIFS, automounter, netgroups
  • Service Management: IT Operations, incident/problem/change management, on-call support
  • License Management (where applicable): OpenLM, FlexLM, Matlab and enterprise license services

  • Public & private cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • ServiceNow (ITSM), Jira, Confluence
  • Configuration management & configuration-as-code
  • Security tools, PAM solutions, Vault, encryption technologies
  • Agile / Scrum / AWM frameworks
  • Leadership, stakeholder engagement & vendor coordination

ð§ Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, operate, and maintain Linux-based platforms and services
  • Develop and maintain automation, scripts, and playbooks
  • Monitor system health, performance, and availability
  • Support incident, problem, and change management
  • Manage authentication, access, and security vulnerabilities
  • Maintain system documentation, CMDBs, and SOPs
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations (where required)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams
  • Continuously improve systems through automation and modern tooling
  • Evaluate and introduce new platforms, tools, and technologies

ð Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems , or equivalent experience
  • 5–6+ years experience in Linux, platform, or operations engineering
  • Strong hands-on experience in enterprise IT environments
  • ITIL knowledge or certification advantageous
