Job Description:A precision engineering environment requires a qualified Turner Machinist with strong milling experience. The role involves operating lathes and milling machines to high tolerances within a jobbing workshop, ensuring accurate and high-quality component production.Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret detailed engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Set up and operate lathes and milling machines
- Perform turning, boring, milling, drilling, and slotting operations
- Ensure work meets required quality and tolerance standards
- Inspect and verify accuracy of finished components
Minimum Requirements
- Recognised trade test qualification as a Turner Machinist
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in the engineering or metal industry
- Physically fit and able to handle tools and materials
- Good hand–eye coordination and strong practical skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Sound communication skills in English (read, write, and understand)
- Willingness to work overtime when required
- Own reliable transport
- No criminal record

Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 07:15 – 16:15
- Friday: 07:15 – 14:15
Remuneration & Benefits
- Salary: R135.00 – R140.00 per hour, depending on experience
- Provident/Pension Fund
- 15 working days’ annual leave (taken during year-end closure)
