Description:
We are currently recruiting for a Fitter & Turner to join our operations team.
-
Repair, overhaul, assemble, and maintain rotating and auxiliary equipment , including bearings and seals
-
Manufacture, modify, and repair mechanical components to required specifications and drawings
-
Strip, inspect, assemble, and balance rotating equipment in accordance with relevant Mill standards
-
Operate and maintain equipment such as:
-
Centre lathes
-
Milling machines
-
Slotting machines
-
Pedestal drills
-
Hydraulic presses
-
Auxiliary equipment
-
-
Interpret and work accurately from engineering drawings
-
Use measuring equipment with a clear understanding of tolerances and fits
-
Provide routine weekly and monthly reports
-
Participate in overtime and standby duties when required
-
Adhere strictly to all Health, Safety, and Environmental policies of Mondi Paper

- Health, Safety: 2 to 3 years
- Fitter & Turner Trade Test Certificate: 2 to 3 years

N3 qualification (Fitting & Turning Trade Theory, Engineering Drawings, Mathematics, Engineering Science)

Fitter & Turner Trade Test Certificate

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a relevant heavy industry environment
-
Proven experience in Fitting & Turning
-
N6 qualification
-
Experience with pulp and paper equipment
-
Overhead Crane License
-
Forklift License
-
