Introduction
Komatsu is seeking a Warehouse Coordinator/Supervisor for the Parts Distribution Centre at our campus in Germiston, that can assist with overseeing the warehouse function and Parts Counter. The preferred candidate should have a diploma/degree in Supply Chain & Logistics with a minimum of 3 years’ experience within a warehouse in environment preferably in the mining/construction industry.

Warehouse Supervision & Inventory Control
- Facilitates and monitors correct storage of items.
- Checks that warehouse and yard security is maintained and that assets are safeguarded.
- Arranges and participates in stock counts (perpetual stock counts and ad hoc counts as required).
- Supervises warehouse operations in multiple stores, such as tool stores, consumable stores, and hazardous materials stores.
- Monitors bins, layouts, and zones by conducting inspections.
- Monitors tidiness, cleanliness, and order in the warehouse.
- Monitors slow moving stock.
C ycle Counting and Bin Maintenance
- Create Stock Counts (perpetual stock counts and ad hoc counts) daily.
- Ensure Stock Count errors are reconciled daily.
- Create Bin Maintenance documentation daily.
- Ensure Bin Maintenance errors are reconciled daily.
- Monitor Zero Picking.
Outbound Logistics
- Supervises the planning, preparation, and checking of outbound shipments.
- Controls & Coordinates outbound activities.
- Monitors picking for outbound inventory / parts/components/items.
- Monitors "zero" picking.
- Supervises the operation of mechanical handling equipment (e.g. forklifts, etc.).
Inbound Logistics
- Supervising the planning, preparation, and checking of inbound shipments.
- Controls & Coordinates inbound activities.
- Reports on statistics & analytics to facilitate continuous improvement of warehouse operations.

- Good Customer Communication Skills: 2 to 3 years
- Diploma in Supply Chain and Logistics NQF 6 or related qualification (essential).
- Degree in Supply Chain and Logistics NQF 7 or related qualification (advantage).
- Diploma/Degree in Indistrial Engineering (advantage)
- 2 - 4 years’ experience in full warehouse operations, management systems and processes.
- 1-year supervisory experience in a warehouse environment within the mining/construction or related industry (essential).
- Computer Literate – MS Excel (basic).
- SAP confirmations for picking and binning.
- SAP Search items – bin history.
- Printing & capturing of stock count sheets.
- Valid Driver’s license (essential).
- Monitor work performance.
- Excellent organising skills.
- Good customer communication and negotiation skills
Qualification:
- Diploma in Supply Chain and Logistics NQF 6 or related qualification (essential).
- Degree in Supply Chain and Logistics NQF 7 or related qualification (advantage).
- Diploma/Degree in Indistrial Engineering (advantage)
Experience:
- 2 - 4 years’ experience in full warehouse operations, management systems and processes.
- 1-year supervisory experience in a warehouse environment within the mining/construction or related industry (essential).
