Inventory Controller

Description:

We are looking for a precise and highly organised Inventory Controller with strong administrative and system capabilities to join our Logistics team. The successful candidate will be able to manage multiple priorities, work to tight deadlines, and consistently maintain a high level of accuracy. This role requires a proactive individual with a structured, solutions-focused mindset and a strong commitment to process adherence. Minimum Requirements:

1. Relevant tertiary qualification
2. A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role within the agricultural industry
3. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other computer-based systems
4. Sound knowledge of stock control and inventory management systems
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare shipment documentation and distribute to freight forwarding partners
• Manage Paltrack registrations for fresh produce suppliers
• Maintain and update master data across all relevant systems
• Liaise effectively with packhouses to ensure seamless operational support
• Manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting operational deadlines
• Capture and upload all stock accurately into the system within required timeframes to ensure operational visibility
• Reconcile system inventory against physical stock at cold storage facilities
• Investigate, report on, and resolve stock variances identified during reconciliation
• Respond to stock-related queries in a timely and efficient manner
• Arrange and book sample and/or marketing pallets as required
• Conduct daily stock checks to identify and prevent discrepancies
• Process mates data, including weight calculations and linking pallet information to containers and vessels
