• A well-established residential building contractor based in Durbanville is seeking an experienced and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a QS who enjoys hands-on involvement in residential construction projects from inception to completion.
  
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation
• Managing project budgets, cost control, and cash flow
• Evaluating subcontractor quotes and negotiating contracts
• Preparing progress claims, valuations, and final accounts
• Handling variations and cost reporting throughout the project lifecycle
• Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, and consultants
• Ensuring financial compliance and project profitability

Minimum Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying
• 3–8 years’ experience in residential building projects
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials
• Proficiency in QS software and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Valid driver’s licence

Advantageous:
Experience with high-end residential or multiple-unit developments
Site-based QS experience
Knowledge of JBCC contracts
