Are you a hands-on finance individual with a strong background in manufacturing or production? We're looking for a commercially savvy and detail-oriented Financial Manager to join my client's Production Finance team.
This is your chance to work alongside the Commercial and Production Director in driving process improvements and cost optimisation across multiple in-house production facilities.
What You'll Be Doing:
Manage annual budgets and forecasting across all production departments Conduct variance analysis and investigate cost deviations with corrective action plans Deliver clear, actionable insights to guide production planning, capital spend, and cost control Oversee standard costing and ensure bill of materials (BOM), routings, and overheads are accurate Track and analyse production cost structures, material usage, and labour efficiency Support operational teams with process improvements and financial decision-making Evaluate and report on ROI for capital investments and other major projects Ensure ERP systems reflect accurate production, inventory, and cost data Collaborate with supply chain and operations to assess performance and optimisation opportunities Drive automation and data accuracy in finance processes linked to production Manage and mentor a team of plant-level or cost accountants Lead financial reporting and compliance for the production functionWhat You'll Bring:
A degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field A professional qualification such as CIMA or SAIPA (CA(SA) not required but welcome) 5+ years' financial management experience, ideally in a factory, production, or food processing setting Deep knowledge of cost accounting, ERP systems, and manufacturing finance Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and CapEx evaluation Advanced Excel skills and exposure to automation or system upgrades Fluent in Afrikaans and English (written and spoken) Strong leadership and team management abilitiesYour Strengths:
