Financial Accountant
Location:Durban
Reporting to:Finance Executive
Level:Professional
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assisting with accounting, finance, and secretarial functions
- Managing Accounts Payable function
- Preparing monthly management accounts and Board packs
- Assisting with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Preparation of tax computations and payment of company taxes
- Maintaining fixed assets and property registers
- Acting as a bank signatory
- Preparing annual insurance declaration and managing insurance claims
- Managing lease agreements and petty cash balances
- Performing general ledger reconciliations
Qualifications and Experience:
- Post graduate qualification in Finance
- 3-5 years management experience in accounting
- Strong understanding of SA tax legislations
- High level of computer literacy
- Ability to prioritize, plan work, meet deadlines, and work under pressure
