Position Overview:
The Tool Store Administrator will be responsible for managing tools and consumables within the workshop and assembly environment. This role focuses on ensuring tools are properly maintained, recorded, and available for production, while supporting safe and organized operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and check tools and consumables against delivery notes.
- Ensure all documentation is in order once goods have been received.
- Clean, store, and maintain hand and electric tools.
- Inspect electric tools for damages or defects and report accordingly.
- Record and report any damages or shortages to the Supply Chain Manager.
- Issue tools required for workshop and assembly operations and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain organization and correct labeling of tools and consumables in designated areas.
- Support loading and offloading of vehicles as required.
- Perform general filing and administrative duties related to tool management.
- Maintain complete tool and consumable lists on a daily basis.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the workshop/tool area, including general housekeeping.
- Communicate effectively with managers and team members to support smooth operations.
- Maintain efficient document control within the tool department.
- Organize and maintain workshop inventory and storage areas.
- Perform any other duties necessary to ensure the effective running of the department.

Grade 12
Valid Driver’s License and Forklift License will be beneficial
Proven experience in a workshop or manufacturing environment, preferably with tool administration experience.
Strong organizational and administrative skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
Knowledge of hand and electric tools, including proper handling and maintenance.
Ability to follow health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
Basic computer literacy for record-keeping and documentation.
