Senior Power BI developer

Background



Over the last 2 years we have been developing a card scheme reporting platform for use by Banks and other financial institutions. The platform using Azure for data storage / transformation and Power BI and Power BI Apps for creating and presenting reports. Now that we have an number of clients using the platform we are looking to quickly add in new reporting features and functionality



What we are looking for



Senior Power BI developer with extensive, real-world experience in developing complex Power BI reports



Strong DAX knowledge, including performance optimisation

Ability to design, develop and implement semantic models

Excellent UI skills, with the ability to develop visually appealing reports

Nice to have:



knowledge of Microsoft Azure Fabric, use of DevOps and GitHub to manage Power BI project files



knowledge of card payments and developments in the data analytics world as a whole (e.g. AI, use of Claude to support development)

Experience and ability in creating supporting technical documentation outlining functionality, and the unpacking of business requirements into technical specifications.

Ability to work (part-time) at a shared workspace in Sandton, Johannesburg
