A well-established construction firm is seeking an experienced Senior Site-Based Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic project team on a high-quality residential and commercial development in Stellenbosch.
Key Responsibilities
- Full site-based quantity surveying functions from inception to close-out
- Measurement, preparation, and management of BOQs
- Cost planning, budgeting, and cost control
- Subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and appointment
- Valuations, progress payments, and final accounts
- Variations management and claims assessment
- Close collaboration with site management, consultants, and clients
- Ensuring contractual compliance and accurate cost reporting
- BSc / BTech / ND in Quantity Surveying
- Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in building construction
- Proven experience on residential and commercial projects
- Strong site-based experience (non-negotiable)
- Solid understanding of JBCC contracts
- Proficient in measurement, cost reporting, and financial controls
- Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Experience on high-end residential or mixed-use developments
- Strong proficiency in QS software and MS Excel
