A well-established organisation based in Edenvale is seeking an experienced Assistant Financial Manager to join their finance team. This opportunity suits a hands-on finance professional with strong financial accounting, management accounting, and people management experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Full general ledger (GL) processing up to trial balance Managing month-end close, financial reporting, and audit preparation Oversight of debtors and creditors (accounts receivable & accounts payable) Supporting budgeting, reconciliations, and variance analysis Managing and mentoring a team of 810 direct reports Ensuring compliance with financial controls, policies, and procedures
Minimum Requirements:
BCom Degree in Accounting / Finance 35 years finance experience in a commercial environment Strong exposure to GL, month-end, audits, and reconciliations Proven team leadership and staff management experience
Advantageous:
SAICA / SAIPA / CIMA qualification or articles completed Experience in Manufacturing or Retail Finance Exposure to ERP systems and advanced Excel
