Driver – Richwood (Atlas Gardens)

Description:

The Company Driver will be responsible for the safe transporting of company products and materials to and from specified locations in a timely manner. This will include handling deliveries effectively and in a timely manner. Duties & Responsibilities:

• Safely transport products, materials and packages to and from destinations in a timely manner;
• Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied;
• Loading and offloading of products and materials as necessary;
• Providing accurate time records of the company vehicle’s comings and goings;
• Reporting any accidents, injuries and vehicle damage to management as they happen;
• Arrive at destinations on schedule and adjusting travel routes to avoid traffic congestion or road construction;
• Fulfil administrative needs, like office pickups;
• Interact with clients professionally at all times;
• Ensure that the vehicle is always fuelled and ready for use;
• Arrange for vehicle repairs as needed;
• Providing excellent customer service;
• Ensuring The store is kept clean, neat and well-organized at all times;
• Packing incoming stock away and taking inventory as requested by management;
• Picking orders as requested by management; and
• Ensuring that correct stock is loaded for deliveries, and ensuring that no stock is to delivered without any paperwork.

Authority:
The Employee will be required to report directly to the Sales Manager and any Management and Directors of the Company.
Skills:

• Valid South African Driver’s Licence;
• Excellent level of English;
• Excellent written communicator (WhatsApp, phone calls; etc.);
• Strong time management and customer service skills;
• Attention to detail;
• Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws;
• Be eager to meet and exceed expectations;
• Ability to enforce and maintain high standards, even under pressure;
• Work well under pressure;
• Be organised;
• Be hard working, and
• Be deadline driven.
