Description:
Key ResponsibilitiesSource, negotiate, and procure construction materials, plant, equipment, and subcontracted services Obtain and evaluate quotations in line with project requirements and budgets Place purchase orders and ensure accurate documentation and approvals Manage supplier relationships and negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules Ensure materials are delivered on time to site and in line with project timelines Monitor stock levels and coordinate with site teams to prevent shortages or delays Track orders, manage backorders, and resolve supply issues proactively Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and industry standards Assist with cost control and procurement reporting Work closely with project managers, site managers, and finance teams Minimum Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field Minimum 35 years procurement experience within the construction industry Strong knowledge of construction materials, suppliers, and procurement processes Experience working with purchase orders, supplier negotiations, and contract terms Proficient in MS Excel and procurement or ERP systems Excellent organisational and time management skills Strong negotiation and communication skills Ability to work under pressure and meet urgent deadlines Advantageous Experience working on multiple construction sites simultaneously Local supplier knowledge within the Western Cape Immediate availability or short notice period Remuneration
