In this role, your day-to-day responsibilities will include leading and managing all engineering activities across the supply chain facilities. You will provide technical guidance to operations and senior management teams, maintain engineering policies, procedures, and computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS), oversee capital projects, and drive productivity improvements through automation and process optimisation. Expert knowledge of the OHS Act and engineering compliance, along with strong negotiation, communication, and people management skills, is essential.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you should have a Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering degree or diploma (NQF 6) and a Government Certificate of Competency (GCC). You will need 5-10 years of experience in an FMCG or manufacturing environment, including at least 2-3 years in a senior engineering leadership role. Your expertise in engineering leadership, maintenance strategies, and project management will be essential in ensuring plant reliability, operational efficiency, and the successful delivery of manufacturing performance targets.
