Company and Job Description:Are you detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about construction and development? We are looking for an Estimator to join a dynamic team, helping shape the financial feasibility of exciting projects from the very start.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct feasibility studies to determine the viability of proposed projects.
- Prepare high-level and detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, services, and overheads.
- Analyse BoQs, drawings, conceptual designs, site conditions, and technical reports.
- Identify cost risks, assumptions, allowances, and contingencies.
- Develop cash flow forecasts, funding requirements, and financial models.
- Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to gather costing data.
- Evaluate alternative design options, construction methods, and value-engineering opportunities.
- Prepare and present feasibility reports, cost summaries, and recommendations.
- Maintain pricing databases, benchmarking data, and cost libraries.
- Ensure all estimations meet professional and industry standards.Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- 35 years experience in estimating or feasibility analysis (construction/development preferred).
- Strong understanding of construction processes, cost estimating principles, and project lifecycle.
- Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., BuildSmart, CCS Candy, WinQS) is advantageous.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple feasibility requests under tight deadlines.
