About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated, self-sufficient, and results-driven Salesperson to join our team on a commission-only basis. This role is ideal for an experienced sales professional who thrives on autonomy and uncapped earning potential. You will be responsible for sourcing new clients, managing the entire sales cycle, and closing deals for our products and services.
Compensation Structure
This is a strictly commission-based position with no base salary. Commission is paid out upon the business's successful receipt of payment from the client. The tiered structure is as follows:
R 0.00 – R 100,000.00 (Total Monthly Sales): 7% commission
R 100,000.00 – R 200,000.00 (Total Monthly Sales): 10% commission
R 200,000.00 and above (Total Monthly Sales): 15% commission
Example: If a salesperson generates R 250,000 in collected sales for the month per project, their commission calculation would be: (7% of R100k) + (10% of R100k) + (15% of R50k) = R7,000 + R10,000 + R7,500 = R 24,500 total commission.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting & Sales: Actively source potential customers and effectively sell the business's products and services to achieve and exceed sales targets.
Pipeline Management: Maintain detailed records of the sales pipeline, including customer details, deal status, and next steps.
Reporting & Communication: Provide regular updates (weekly or twice-weekly) on sales activities and pipeline status.
Autonomy: Manage your own schedule and sales activities in a self-sufficient manner, while remaining accountable for results.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of proven sales experience is required.
Track Record: A demonstrably successful track record of achieving sales targets and closing deals.
Education: An equivalent qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
Communication: Must be well-spoken, articulate, and highly presentable, with excellent proficiency in English.
Skills: Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Must be a self-starter with excellent time management abilities.
